Abrasive resistant or reconstruction overlay
When some of your parts are subjected to very abrasive applications, Plessitech can apply all types of hard overlay including cobalt, nickel and tungsten alloys. These overlays can reach 68 HRC of hardness. We are using the most recent technologies: DJ (Diamond Jet) and Plasma (PTA) that allow the use of a multitude of alloy powders.
These technologies are also permitting the reconstruction of parts such as drive shafts. By using softer materials, it is possible to machine these parts back to specification after the overlay is applied. And these procedures minimize the distortions that are normally present when rebuilding with welding.
